The delicacy and
security of his draftsmanship appears both in his books for children and
later in those for adults. Nevertheless, he quickly enters into more personal
work, at first abstract, than later semi-figurative and finally figurative.
His works contain a large element of fantasy symbolism. Often they are
inspired by Greek, Roman and Egyptian mythology which give his paintings
a high imaginative component.
The observer can not remain indifferent to his work; it leads to profound
reflection upon what life has been, what it now is and what it may become.
