Pictoresque work with a language approaching symbolism, symbolism understood as a progressive distancing from reality which often is boring and unstimulating for the artist. Coming from the realism that he cultivated for years he introduces himself gradually into exciting regions of the spirit, beckoning the spectator to take refuge in them. He investigates, through numerous techniques, specially the encaustic technique, super-imposing layers of pigmented wax on canvas or wood. His formal style speaks of stylized, synthetic and archaic characters with influence on African art.
